Professional Document Systems (PDS) is pleased to announce that they will be working with Tinker Air Force Base to upgrade its document management system.
As one of the largest employers in Oklahoma, the base’s more than 27,000 military and civilian employees will see vast improvements in their productivity with the upgrade.
“We will be converting the current system to the newest version of Open Text Application Extender (AX),” says Matt Bowman, President of PDS, “And implementing a complete installation of Version 16.3 – moving all past data, documents, and images to the new platform.”
Also, PDS will provide web deployment to sync and configure content as well as offer comprehensive training for administrative employees who will be using the system extensively.
What is an Open Text Application Extender
An enterprise content management solution, Open Application Extenders electronically store, organize and manage documents, making it easy for materials to be shared and used as needed, especially for mobile users. Not only does it automate business processes, but it also ensures security and compliance.
“Currently, AX is used at the base to manage millions of pages of propulsion test records, which are critical to ensure that the craft’s components are working correctly. The upgrade will improve and enhance the existing system and we couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with the base,” says Bowman
