Professional Document Systems performed an in-depth document analysis on the districts’ records and recommended a comprehensive turnkey solution consisting of converting the company’s existing files and the implementation of an in-house document management system.
The first phase of the project will be implemented in five key departments of the district: Customer Service, Procurement, Engineering, Finance and the Executive Office. The PDS system will be comprised of the following:
• Application Extender – A user-friendly document management software that has all the key features businesses will ever use such as scanning, indexing, viewing, printing, and administration functions, image import & export.
• PDS ViewPoint – Search and view software developed by PDS that access the documents scanned and indexed into Application Extender.
• Canon Scanners – The DR M160 High speed color scanner with duplexing capabilities and scanning speeds of 60 pages per minute.
PDS will then train end-users at the District how to effectively and efficiently utilize their customized imaging work stations, thus empowering them to institute and form their own document management structure.
With multiple projects in the works, Professional Document Systems looks forward to forging another fulfilling, local business relationship with the Lower Valley Water District.
